В статье предпринята попытка продемонстрировать принципы и механизмы развития полового диморфизма в медицинском дискурсе Нового времени. Высказано положение, что эпистемологические факторы оказывают существенное влияние на формирование гендерных моделей. Обосновывается, что естественнонаучные открытия в области анатомии и физиологии ХVI -ХVII вв. создали фундамент для тезиса о несоизмеримом различии полов.

The article attempts to demonstrate the principles and mechanisms of the development of sexual dimorphism in the medical discourse of the Modern Age. It is stated that epistemological factors have a significant impact on the formation of gender models. It is proved that natural scientific discoveries in the field of anatomy and physiology of the ХVI- ХVII centuries created the foundation for the thesis about the incommensurable difference of the sexes.
